FortuneNation is committed to protecting of our customer's information. Keeping your information secure and ensuring your understanding of how we collect, use, and maintain such information is important to us.

We follow very strict guidelines to protect your privacy. FortuneNation does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share your information with other members of FortuneNation, but only as much information as you choose to reveal about yourself. From time to time, we will update this privacy statement to reflect changes in our policies and practice. If you are still a customer of FortuneNation, you will receive written notification of any significant as required by law.

The Collection and Use of Anonymous Data

Visitors can log on to our website to learn about FortuneNation, our products and services and find out how to contact us without providing any public personal information. We reserve the right to collect anonymous information when users access our web site. The type of information that is gathered includes, but is not limited to, the date, time of day, which pages are visited and how much time is spent on the web site. We only collect and use information about our users in the aggregate. The general information we collect enables us to serve our customers better by continually improving our site based on up-to-date usage patterns.

Credit Bureau Reports

FortuneNation utilizes credit bureau reports in order to evaluate our customers’ credit worthiness and to protect our customers from fraudulent conduct. Therefore, we may obtain a credit bureau report about you when you obtain any financial products and services from us, including the listing of capital.

Sharing of Personal Information

We do not disclose public and nonpublic personal information about our customers or our former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law or as otherwise disclosed in this privacy policy.

In order to provide you with access to a full range of products and services, we may share certain public and nonpublic personal information, including information about our transactions and experiences with you, with our affiliates. An affiliate means any company that controls, is controlled by or is under common control with FortuneNation.

FortuneNation may have to share composite website information on usage, demographics or other information to government authorities by law. For a seven year period, FortuneNation may also keep information on our members in accordance with federal and state law. FortuneNation's obligations under this privacy policy do not apply to any information or data that: (a) is not identifiable as yours; (b) is or becomes entirely in the public domain; (c) was known to FortuneNation prior to its access to the information or data; (d) received lawfully from a third party through no breach of any obligation of confidentiality owed to you; and/or (e) created by FortuneNation independently of its access to or use of your information.

We will not sell or distribute any public and nonpublic personal information about you except in those circumstances listed above.

Promotional Materials

To advise our customers of special offers provided by FortuneNation, its affiliates or non-affiliated third parties, we may send promotional materials concerning products and services that we believe might be of interest. If we do send you any such promotional material, it will clearly indicate that it has come from us and your information will not be disclosed to the third party whose product or service is being promoted without your approval.

Information Security

We restrict access to your public and nonpublic personal information to only those authorized employees and agents who have a need to know such information to provide products or services to our customers. We maintain and monitor physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with applicable law and regulatory requirements to guard your public and nonpublic personal information.

Tips for Maintaining Security and Privacy on FortuneNation

Screen name selection: Your screen name identifies you to other members of FortuneNation. Do not choose a screen name similar to your real name, or any screen name that may identify you to others, in order to protect your privacy.

Password: Do not choose a password that can be easily determined such as your street address, children's names, and dates of birth or other. Choose a unique, hard to determine password with a combination of letters and numbers and symbols. Also, change your password periodically (every three months or less).

If you use FortuneNation's social network blogs, comments, journals and other public information, please be aware that the public can access this information. FortuneNation does not monitor or protect this information from public viewing; any information input here by you is done at your own risk.

When you register as a Business, we will use this information to pull a credit report from a credit bureau to determine your creditworthiness as well as to help lenders assess your loan request in the context of your overall financial situation. We will also use your required and optional information to facilitate activities and transactions that need to occur during online person-to-person investing, such as:

Generating public Business profiles on the site

Assigning you a credit grade based on your credit history and financial circumstances

Enabling our financial services partners to implement automatic payments and fund transfers

Contacting you if there is a problem completing a transaction you requested or to discuss a problem with your account

Implementing collection activities as needed

Maintaining regular communications with you concerning transactions you initiate, such as requesting information or assistance, submitting a capital request, making payments, transferring funds, etc.

When you register as an investor, we will request some required and optional data in order to facilitate such activities as:

Generating a public investor profile on the site

Enabling our financial services partners to implement fund transfers and the receipt of borrower payments

Contacting you if there is a problem completing a transaction you requested or to discuss a problem with your account

Maintaining regular communications with you as may be necessary to execute transactions you request, such as submitting investment portfolios and transferring funds, etc.

Account Notifications

FortuneNation will send you email notifications from time to time, and these are required elements of your transactions on our web site, such as confirmations of particular actions you have taken. These required notices are sent typically to notify you of a change in status such as when you are confirmed as a borrower or lender, or for legal or security purposes. For example, certain notifications are sent for your own protection to ensure that no one can make a change to your account without your knowledge, such as confirming the addition of a new email address or linked external bank account. These notifications are sent to you so that you can be assured that no one is making changes to your account without your knowledge. In other cases, these notifications involve changes to various legal agreements or site policies. Generally you may not opt out of these service related emails.

FortuneNation contains links to other websites and FortuneNation is not responsible in any way for security or privacy measures on these websites. When you link to another website, you should read in its entirety their privacy policy which will govern your use of their site. FortuneNation's privacy policy does not apply to any third party websites linked from the FortuneNation website.

Protection and Storage of Information

The information we collect from you when you register as a FortuneNation member is kept safely and securely in our platform. We retain this information to satisfy legal requirements such as recordkeeping, tax reporting, and credit reporting requirements, as well as for purposes of fraud prevention, audit and data integrity.

Encryption technology protects information that may be used to identify you. Access is limited to your information to our employees and designated third party vendors of FortuneNation. We control access to this information and limit access to only those employees or third parties on a need to know basis.

Firewalls and security technology protects your information. FortuneNation tests its systems to ensure safety and security regularly.

Do not share your FortuneNation password with anyone and protect it with all possible efforts. FortuneNation has procedures for recovering your password, and we will never ask you for your password via email or over the telephone.
